02

Domain Registration & VPS Infrastructure

2.1 Included Free Domain: Each annual subscription includes one complimentary domain registration, strictly subject to global registrar availability. Free domain registrations cover standard TLDs (e.g., .com, .org, .in). Premium or non-standard extensions incur additional fees.

2.2 High-Performance Infrastructure: All hosted websites are deployed directly onto DScholar's dedicated NVMe Virtual Private Server (VPS) infrastructure, equipped with SSL encryption and active server security monitoring.

2.3 Hosting Management: To maintain strict network security and backend stability, root-level server access, cPanel/WHM configurations, or direct database administration are managed exclusively by DScholar engineers.

03

Client Responsibilities & Asset Delivery

To ensure project development timelines stay on track, clients must fulfill the following operational obligations:

  • Provide all necessary website copy, logos, images, project materials, or CV data in structured digital format within 14 business days of account activation.
  • Verify that all provided text, brand assets, images, and intellectual property do not violate existing copyright or trademark laws.
  • Designate a primary contact point responsible for delivering consolidated feedback on initial design prototypes.

Development Timeline Note: Official project delivery timelines commence only after DScholar receives complete, finalized text and image assets from the client.

04

Annual Website Maintenance & Technical Support

4.1 Maintenance Scope: Active subscription accounts receive ongoing platform maintenance, including CMS core updates, technical framework patches, SSL renewals, basic technical SEO setup, security monitoring, and server stability audits.

4.2 Standard Revisions: Minor content modifications—such as updating contact information, revising paragraphs, adding published research papers, or swapping images—are covered under active maintenance plans. Major visual redesigns or page additions require separate scoping.

4.3 Support Channels: All support tickets, updates, and maintenance requests are managed through DScholar's official customer portal and client support email.

05

Subscriptions, Payments & Renewals

5.1 Payment Structure: All Web Services operate on upfront term agreements (1-Year, 2-Year, or 3-Year durations). Subscriptions must be fully settled prior to development initialization.

5.2 Service Renewal: Renewal invoices are issued prior to plan expiration to ensure uninterrupted web hosting, domain maintenance, and SSL protection. Accounts unrenewed within 7 business days following expiration will face automated service suspension.

5.3 Non-Refundable Policy: Because custom site provisioning, domain registry reservations, and cloud server provisioning incur immediate operational costs, all web service subscription payments are non-refundable once development has started.

06

Intellectual Property & Ownership Rights

6.1 Client Materials: The client retains total ownership over all submitted research, trademarked media, written copy, brand graphics, and original proprietary assets.

6.2 Website Code & Architecture: Upon full payment, the client receives explicit licensing rights to use the compiled website for their personal identity or enterprise. DScholar retains rights over core functional frameworks, proprietary modules, reusable code snippets, and structural design systems.

07

Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)

Websites running on DScholar's NVMe host environment must strictly adhere to legal and regulatory guidelines. Prohibited hosting activities include, but are not limited to:

  • Deploying or linking to malicious software, phishing schemes, or spam distribution scripts.
  • Hosting pirated content, unlicensed academic publications, or copyrighted materials without explicit consent.
  • Running unauthorized mass-email broadcasts or deceptive marketing bots.
  • Publishing defamatory, threatening, unlawful, or sexually explicit content.

Violations will result in immediate service suspension without notice and complete forfeiture of subscription balances.

08

Limitation of Liability

DScholar Research Consultancy and Analytics (OPC) Private Limited, its directors, and technical employees shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from platform downtime, cyber incidents beyond standard firewalls, delay in client asset submissions, or third-party service interruptions (e.g., global domain registry failures or telecom outages).

09

Service Termination & Data Retention

In cases of plan expiration, non-renewal, or deliberate cancellation:

  • Hosted web services and associated public access will be disabled immediately upon plan expiration.
  • Domain transfer authorization keys (EPP/Auth codes) can be requested for transfer, provided all account balances are clear.
  • Client site backups are held on secure offline servers for a grace period of 30 days post-expiration, after which data is permanently deleted.
