Position Overview

We are looking for a skilled and versatile Full-Time Web Developer for a completely desk-based Work From Home position.

The selected candidate will work from a dedicated home workstation and will be responsible for the complete lifecycle of client websites—from planning, UI/UX design, development, deployment, and hosting to ongoing maintenance, security, troubleshooting, optimization, and client support.

This is a full-time professional role, not a freelance, part-time, field-based, or temporary assignment. The employee will be expected to remain actively engaged during assigned working hours and handle development, technical operations, project coordination, client requirements, and other assigned digital responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

1. Website Design & Development

1. Design and develop modern, responsive, professional, and high-performance websites.
2. Build websites for individuals, professionals, businesses, organizations, institutions, and other clients.
3. Convert client requirements into functional website designs and digital solutions.
4. Develop landing pages, corporate websites, portfolio websites, e-commerce websites, institutional portals, and custom web solutions.
5. Ensure websites function properly across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
6. Work with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript, PHP, Node.js, and modern web frameworks where required.
7. Customize WordPress themes, plugins, Elementor layouts, and other CMS solutions.

2. Website Management & Maintenance

1. Take responsibility for the ongoing management of assigned client websites.
2. Perform regular WordPress, CMS, theme, plugin, and software updates.
3. Troubleshoot website errors, broken pages, compatibility issues, and technical problems.
4. Maintain backups and website recovery procedures.
5. Monitor website availability, functionality, and performance.
6. Make requested content, layout, functionality, and design updates.

3. Hosting, Domains & Technical Operations

1. Configure and manage domains, subdomains, DNS records, and nameservers.
2. Manage web hosting environments, VPS hosting, cPanel/WHM, and cloud platforms.
3. Install and renew SSL certificates.
4. Configure professional/business email accounts where required.
5. Manage website migrations, staging environments, backups, and deployments.
6. Diagnose server-side and hosting-related website issues.
7. Maintain proper technical documentation for websites and client projects.

4. Website Security & Performance

1. Implement website security best practices.
2. Conduct routine security checks and identify potential vulnerabilities.
3. Monitor and resolve malware, unauthorized access, spam, and other website security issues.
4. Optimize website loading speed and overall performance.
5. Implement caching, image optimization, database optimization, CDN, and other performance measures where appropriate.
6. Follow appropriate backup and disaster-recovery practices.

5. Client Project Management

1. Understand and document client requirements.
2. Communicate professionally with clients through email, phone, video meetings, and other approved digital communication channels.
3. Provide progress updates and coordinate revisions.
4. Maintain project timelines and ensure timely delivery.
5. Handle multiple web projects and maintenance assignments simultaneously.
6. Maintain professional records of project requirements, credentials, changes, and deliverables.

6. Project Procurement & Business Development

1. Identify prospective clients and new website development opportunities.
2. Assist DSCHOLAR WEB in acquiring website design, development, hosting, and maintenance projects.
3. Communicate DSCHOLAR WEB’s services effectively to prospective clients.
4. Develop professional networks and business relationships that can generate projects.
5. Follow up with prospective clients where assigned.
6. Support the organization’s digital business development activities.

7. Training & Mentorship

1. Conduct online training sessions, workshops, and demonstrations when assigned.
2. Train interested candidates and team members in website development and related technologies.
3. Explain practical website development, WordPress, hosting, domain management, and web operations.
4. Prepare training materials, demonstrations, and technical documentation where required.
5. Mentor trainees and provide practical guidance on assigned web-development activities.

8. Daily Desk-Based Responsibilities

As this is a full-time desk job, the selected employee will be expected to:

1. Work regularly from an assigned home workstation during designated working hours.
2. Remain available through e-official digital communication channels during working hours.
3. Attend scheduled online meetings, client meetings, training sessions, and internal discussions.
4. Maintain daily/periodic records of assigned tasks and completed work where required.
5. Coordinate digitally with management, clients, colleagues, and trainees.
6. Meet project deadlines and assigned performance expectations.
7. Maintain professional communication and e-workplace discipline while working remotely.

Required Qualifications

1. Educational Qualification: B.Tech/B.E., M.Tech, MCA, or an equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
2. Professional Experience: Preferably 1–5 years of relevant web development experience, particularly in designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining client-facing websites or web applications.
3. Candidates should be able to demonstrate their technical ability through a portfolio, live websites, GitHub projects, previous professional work, or a practical technical assessment.

Required Technical Skills

1. The candidate should have practical knowledge of: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript / TypeScript, PHP and/or Node.js, WordPress, Elementor, MySQL / PostgreSQL, Responsive Web Design, UI/UX Fundamentals, Website Deployment, Domain and DNS Management, cPanel / WHM, VPS and Cloud Hosting, SSL Configuration, Website Migration and Backups, Website Security, Website Speed and Performance Optimization, Git / Version-Control Fundamentals.
2. Knowledge of modern frameworks and platforms such as React.js, Next.js, Vue.js, AWS, Vercel, Cloudflare, headless CMS platforms, APIs, and related web technologies will be an advantage.

Compensation & Benefits
