DScholar Research is expanding its professional services portfolio with the introduction of Financial Reporting Outsourcing Services. We aim to support businesses, accounting firms, consultants, and international clients with accurate, timely, and insightful financial reporting and analytical solutions.

We are inviting applications from experienced financial reporting professionals who can independently manage and deliver end-to-end financial reporting and analysis assignments.

Key Responsibilities

The selected professional must have demonstrated expertise in delivering all of the following services:

1. Financial Reporting & Statement Preparation

1. Preparation and analysis of Profit & Loss Statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow Statements.
2. Monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
3. Management reporting and financial performance summaries.
4. Financial statement interpretation and preparation of analytical commentary.
5. Knowledge of applicable accounting standards, including Ind AS, IFRS, and/or US GAAP, as relevant to client assignments.

2. Management Information Systems (MIS) & Dashboards

1. Development of comprehensive Excel-based MIS reports.
2. Creation of interactive financial dashboards and KPI trackers.
3. Revenue, cost, profitability, and operational performance reporting.
4. Automation and optimization of financial reporting processes.
5. Preparation of professional, client-ready management reports.

3. Financial Analysis & Ratio Analysis

1. Profitability, liquidity, solvency, and efficiency ratio analysis.
2. Financial trend analysis and comparative performance evaluation.
3. Budget-versus-actual analysis and variance reporting.
4. Financial performance benchmarking.
5. Preparation of actionable financial insights and recommendations.

4. Cash Flow Analysis, Budgeting & Forecasting

1. Cash-flow statement preparation and analysis.
2. Short-term and long-term cash-flow forecasting.
3. Working capital analysis and monitoring.
4. Budget preparation and financial projections.
5. Scenario analysis and financial planning support.

5. Financial Research & Business Analysis

1. Industry and market research relevant to financial decision-making.
2. Competitor financial performance analysis.
3. Financial benchmarking and comparative company analysis.
4. Preparation of research-backed financial insights and business reports.

6. White-Label Financial Reporting Support

1. Preparation of financial reporting deliverables for accounting firms, consultants, and advisory businesses.
2. Adherence to client-specific templates, reporting standards, and documentation requirements.
3. Independent project execution with strong attention to confidentiality, accuracy, and deadlines.
4. Professional communication and coordination with the DScholar Research team.

Essential Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
2. CA, CA Intermediate, CMA, ACCA, CFA, or MBA (Finance) qualifications will be preferred.
3. Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in financial reporting, financial analysis, management reporting, or FP&A.
4. Demonstrable experience preparing financial statements, financial dashboards, cash-flow forecasts, and analytical reports.
5. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, Power Query, advanced formulas, financial modeling, and dashboard development.
6. Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and financial performance metrics.
7. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and written English communication skills.
8. Ability to independently manage multiple assignments and deliver client-ready outputs.
9. Familiarity with QuickBooks, Xero, Power BI, or similar tools is desirable.
10. Previous experience supporting international clients, accounting firms, or consulting organizations will be an advantage.

Mandatory Technical Assessment

1. Shortlisted applicants will be required to complete a practical, appropriately scoped financial reporting assessment using fictional or anonymized data.
2. The assessment may include financial statement analysis, an Excel MIS dashboard, financial ratio calculations, cash-flow forecasting, and written management commentary.
3. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency across the complete service portfolio, not just one specialization.

Nature of Engagement

1. Freelance, remote, project-based assignments.
2. Flexible working arrangements, subject to agreed project deadlines.
3. Engagements offered based on client requirements, professional expertise, and availability.
4. Project fees and delivery timelines agreed upon before assignment commencement.
5. No guaranteed minimum volume of work.
