We are currently looking for a Consultant Secondary Data Collection & Literature Review Coordinator for a project-based role, working remotely.

Job Responsibilities:

As a Consultant Secondary Data Collection and Literature Review Coordinator, your responsibilities will include:

  • Secondary Data Collection: Conduct thorough desk research using available sources such as published reports, academic papers, government publications, industry databases, and online sources to gather relevant secondary data for research projects.
  • Literature Review: Perform detailed literature reviews to identify key studies, theories, and findings relevant to the research project. Synthesize findings into cohesive summaries that support the research objectives and hypotheses.
  • Source Evaluation: Evaluate the relevance, credibility, and timeliness of data sources. Ensure that data collected aligns with the research project’s objectives and standards.
  • Data Identification: Identify credible and reliable sources of secondary data, such as academic journals, industry reports, statistical databases, and government records.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Compile and synthesize secondary data and literature review findings into structured reports with proper referencing and citation. Ensure clear and concise documentation of all findings.
  • Quality Control: Maintain high standards for data accuracy, relevance, and reliability throughout the research process. Regularly verify sources and data integrity.
  • Collaboration: Coordinate with research teams to ensure that secondary data and literature findings support broader project goals and research strategies.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Location: Must be able to work remotely.
  • Education: A Master’s degree or higher in Social Sciences, Research, Business, or related fields.

Experience:

  • 2-3 years of experience in secondary data collection, literature review, and desk research.
  • Proven ability to gather, evaluate, and interpret secondary data from multiple sources.
  • Experience conducting literature reviews in academic or professional research projects.
  • Familiarity with research methodologies and secondary data analysis.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in Reference Management Software: Experience with tools such as EndNote, Zotero, or Mendeley to manage citations, references, and organize research material effectively.
  • Strong analytical and research skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to synthesize complex data and literature into easy-to-understand insights.
  • Cultural sensitivity and understanding of local communities.
  • Fluency in English and at least one regional language.

This is a project-based consultancy role, with compensation mutually agreed upon based on project scope, complexity, and timeline. We assure competitive and best rates for our consultants.


Mode of Selection:

  • Initial Interview: To assess your experience, background, and approach to secondary data collection and literature review.
  • Technical Assignment: A practical assignment to evaluate your research and data collection skills.

Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for an interview. Those who clear the interview stage will be given a technical assignment as the final step in the selection process.
